About the event

This has become an annual event thanks to its popularity and the expertise of our leader, Teifion Davies.

Teifion is an amateur mycologist and head gardener at Clyne Gardens and has a huge knowledge of the natural history of the gardens.

He will lead a group looking for edible and non-edible fungi in the oak/beech woodland which covers a major part of the country park. Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for woodland walks and appropriate for the weather forecast on the day.

The start point is Ynys Newydd car park, off Ynys Newydd Road, Swansea. Grid reference SS616915, East:261600 North:191500, near the Council Recycling Site in Derwen Fawr, Sketty.

Children are welcome but under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Please book separately for each person attending.

This event is free but we request at least £1 donation per adult to help cover the Wildlife Trust group's costs. We have a card machine but please bring cash just in case our mobile phone signal isn't good! Many thanks.
