May Half Term Holiday Events at The Welsh Wildlife Centre

At the Welsh Wildlife Centre, we have an exciting range of outdoor nature activities and indoor craft events to keep you and your little ones happy whatever the weather. Activities are suitable for children aged 3+ and cost just £4 each unless otherwise stated.

Due to limited availability, we highly recommend that you book in advance either over the phone* (01239 621600) or in person Wednesdays to Sundays 10am-4pm. Alternatively, email g.taylor@welshwildlife.org and leave a contact number for Gretchen to get back to you.

Wednesday 29th May

  • 11:30am - Mini-beast Safari. Discover what lurks beneath the leaf litter and who eats what or who!!
  • 1:30-3:30pm - Crafty Afternoon Session. Come and paint a ceramic or wooden item to take home.

Thursday 30th May

  • 11:30am - Pond Dipping Session. Learn about the invertebrates and amphibians that live in and around the ponds.
  • 1:30-3:30pm  - Clay Modelling Session. Get creative with air dry clay and natural materials to create your own real or imaginary creature.

Friday 31st May

  • 11:30am - Wildflower Walk. Come and learn about the plants that we have on the reserve and some of their uses and folklore. Suitable for adults and children.
  • 1:30-3:30pm - Decoupage Decorating. Get creative and make a beautiful memento to remind you of your visit.

Please note that the visitor centre and café will also be open Bank Holiday Monday 10am-4pm.
