To celebrate World Poetry Day on 21st of March, we invited children from over Wales to take part in our WILD Words Poetry Competition. We received a fantastic selection of poems from children aged 6 to 13 showcasing their love of nature. Well done to our winners, Daniel and Caitlin! They have won Dan Rouse's new book 'The Children's Book of Birdwatching'. Read their winning poems below.
Daniel, From every plant to every tree
Daniel won our under 12 category with his poem 'From every plant to every tree'. Our judge, Dan Rouse, was really impressed with his poem and loved the passion that came through with his words.
Caitlin, age 13, Wild Nature
Caitlin, aged 13, wowed with her creativity in her poem 'Wild Nature', winning the prize for our over 12 category.
