Accessible and Inclusive Welsh Wildlife Centre Appeal

£106 of £10,000 goal

Help us build a more accessible and inclusive Welsh Wildlife Centre!

For over 30 years, the Welsh Wildlife Centre has been a sanctuary for both people and wildlife. A place where visitors can connect with nature and experience the beauty of our natural world. Now, we need your help to make this cherished space even better.

Why we need your help now

Our visitor centre’s infrastructure has served us well, but time, changing weather conditions, and modern accessibility standards mean that we need to make significant upgrades. With your support, we can ensure that the Welsh Wildlife Centre remains a welcoming place for everyone, regardless of age, race, background, or ability.

Thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we have secured initial funding to develop exciting plans for the future. However, to make this vision a reality, we need your help to secure the match funding required to complete the transformation.*

Together we can make the Welsh Wildlife Centre accessible to all

This is not just about buildings and infrastructure. It is about creating a space where everyone can feel welcome, safe, and inspired by the natural world. We have already heard from visitors and communities who’ve shared their ideas with us, and now we need your help to make this vision a reality.

Your donation will make a difference

By donating today, you will help us create:

  • A new, fully accessible entrance and welcome area, so every visitor feels at home from the moment they arrive.

  • Seamless access between floors, indoors and outdoors, so that everyone, whether using pushchairs or wheelchair, can enjoy all that the centre has to offer.

  • A revitalized café and education space, offering more opportunities for learning, socializing, and connecting with nature.

  • Upgraded facilities, including private toilet cubicles, to meet the needs of all visitors.

  • New, engaging interpretation and information that will bring our wildlife stories to life for people of all ages and abilities.

  • Renovated visitor accommodation, giving people the chance to stay and immerse themselves in nature.

  • Improved paths, playgrounds, and outdoor furniture, making the entire site accessible for families, children, and individuals with varying needs.
