Gift Aid
Your Gift Aid Declaration
Gift Aid allows us to reclaim from the Government the tax that you have already paid on your membership subscriptions, donations and your landing fee for Skomer Island.
- We can reclaim an extra 25 per cent of your donations, membership subscriptions and landing fees.
- If you are a UK income or capital gains taxpayer you can make a Gift Aid declaration – you need to pay enough tax to cover all your donations to charity.
- You can cancel or amend your Gift Aid declaration at any time simply by contacting our membership team on 01656 724100.
Gift Aid on Skomer Landing Fees
We run the Gift Aid on entry scheme at Skomer Island. Under this scheme you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
Skomer Island has Gift Aid on entry. We will offer you the Gift Aid admission prices. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose. If you want the standard admission instead, just select this option when making your booking online.
How Gift Aid Admission helps us
Gift Aid admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid — an extra 25 per cent — potentially a very significant boost to our funds. So if you are happy to pay a small extra amount the difference to The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales will be significant.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the Wildlife Trust. Payment of the additional percentage donation is voluntary, so if you prefer to pay the standard admission please select this option when booking online.

A Gift Aid declaration can only cover donations made by an individual for their self and members of their family. Money raised from this scheme goes towards vital conservation across South and West Wales.
