At Brynmill Community Centre in Swansea members of the community have come together to change a neglected space at the back of the Centre into a place where nature can thrive!

Bird Walk & Make a Bird Feeder
Watch & identify birds visiting the feeders around the Visitor Centre then come inside to make a pine cone bird feeder to take home.

Brecon Local Group Goes Wild
Brecon Local Group had a stunning day for their Go Wild for Wildlife family fun day in the grounds of Brecon Cathedral and in Priory Wood on 1st August.
European larch
The European larch was introduced into the UK from Central Europe in the 17th century. Unusually for a conifer, it is deciduous and displays small, greeny-red cones on brittle twigs.
Common water-crowfoot
A member of the buttercup family, Common water-crowfoot displays white, buttercup-like flowers with yellow centres. It can form mats in ponds, ditches and streams during spring and summer.
WILD Words Poetry Competition
The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) are organising a poetry competition to celebrate World Poetry Day (21st of March). We want to read all about what nature means to you, your experiences with nature, and why nature is important. Entries are welcomed in both Welsh and English. Submit your entry to be in with a chance to win Dan Rouse's new book 'The Children's Book of Birdwatching', as well as a selection of other inspiring children's books.
