Parc Slip is one of WTSWW's flagship nature reserves and is located at the start of the Llynfi Valley, Bridgend. Our Parc Slip team and dedicated volunteers work hard to ensure this wildlife haven continues to provide a home for over 1,000 species of precious wildlife in a variety of habitats.
It was a pleasure to welcome Ruth Dodsworth, ITV Coast and Country Presenter and the team to Parc Slip on a cold and wet November morning. Ruth met with Duncan Ludlow, Reserves Manger at WTSWW to talk about the fascinating history of the site and the incredible transformation of the land from an open cast mine to a biodiversity award winning reserve.
Ruth also met with Tim Jones, Senior Wildlife Trust Officer and his team of volunteers to do discuss habitat management work, our famous highland cattle, partnership working and the importance of volunteers to the Trust and reserve.
Finally, Rhodri Irranca-Davies, WTWWW's Nature Recovery Manager talked about the latest State of Nature Report and what this means for Welsh wildlife.
The episode aired on Friday 8th December on ITV. To catch up on the episode click here.
