About the event

Once the site of a coal mine Ystradfawr Nature Reserve has been reclaimed by nature.

The area has been managed as a nature reserve since 2010 and has a fantastic variety of species, some quite rare.

Bring your family to discover some of the wildlife that lives here now. Staff from WTSWW-Brecknock will guide you round and help you to identify what you find.  You could find a butterfly, a bee or even a lizard!

Some of the route will be very uneven and tussocky so not suitable for pushchairs. Boots recommended as it is often muddy.

Meet by the metal gate in the corner of Ysgol Golwg Y Cwm car park.  If you arrive later than 11am, please follow the WTSWW event signs

Wear clothing suitable for the forecast and sunscreen. Also bring food and drink for lunchtime.
