Parc Slip Earns Green Flag Award
We are very proud to announce that WTSWW’s Parc Slip reserve has recently been awarded The Green Flag Award for 2022/23
Parc Slip Nature Reserve is 125 hectares of land with a history of agricultural use and industrial dereliction left by the Parc Slip Colliery. After years of restoration the reserve now provides a wide range of wildlife habitats including marshy grassland, wetland, semi-improved neutral grassland, broadleaved woodland, mixed woodland plantation, hedgerows and scrub. The wide range of habitats at Parc Slip provide a home for a number of national and locally important species.
The award is an amazing achievement for all of the WTSWW staff and volunteers, and reflects all of the hard work that goes into that make Parc Slip such a fantastic reserve and wonderful place to visit.
