Welsh Wildlife Centre May/June Half Term Holiday Events

Over the May/June half term holiday, at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, we have an exciting range of outdoor nature activities and indoor craft events to keep you happy, whatever the weather.

**Spring Bank Holiday Special-Monday 29th May 10am-3:30pm** Castle Archers of Newcastle Emlyn will be here for a ‘Come along and have a go!’ archery day. Only £2 for 3 arrows and suitable for ages 4-adult. Café and gift shop will also be open 10am-4pm, with meals served between 10am-2:30pm.

  • Wednesday 31st May at 11:30am we are running a Mini-beast Safari; discover what lurks beneath the leaf litter and who eats what or who!!
  • Wednesday afternoon between 1:30-3:30pm we have a Crafty Afternoon session- Come and paint something to take home from a varied selection of planters, bug houses, tea-light holders or lots more.
  • Thursday 1st June at 11:30am; learn to make a secure, stable hideout in our shelter building session.
  • Thursday afternoon between 1:30-3:30pm we’re getting creative again with our popular clay modelling sessions; make your favourite creature or whatever you like from your clay.
  • Friday 2nd June at 11:30am we have pond dipping, come and learn about the variety of life in and around our ponds.
  • Friday afternoon between 1:30-3:30pm is another crafty session, this time paint a slate or pebble as a lovely memento of your visit here.

Archery at Welsh Wildlife Centre

Due to limited availability, we highly recommend that you book and pay in advance either over the phone (01239 621600) or in person Wednesdays to Sundays 9:30am-4pm. Alternatively, email g.taylor@welshwildlife.org and leave a contact number for Gretchen to get back to you.
